About Us

We are a small, family-operated farm founded and run by myself, Rheanna Henscheid Henry, and my family.

Our work is rooted in a deep appreciation for history, genetics, and the animals we are privileged to raise.

My passion for horses began in childhood and was solidified at the age of nine when I received my first horse—a flea-bitten grey Arabian mare who would become my best friend for the next 16 years. This remarkable mare shaped my understanding of horsemanship, teaching lessons in resilience, dedication, and faith. Through her, I learned that while dreams may not always unfold as expected, they can still be realized through perseverance and hard work.

Following the loss of my beloved mare in 2009, I pursued a bachelor’s degree in Equine Science at Utah State University, initially planning for a career in the international show circuit. However, life took a different path after my marriage in 2011 and the arrival of my first son in 2012. Balancing family life, military commitments, and personal challenges—including the injury and eventual loss of my brother—required resilience and adaptability, placing my academic journey on a slower, but determined course.

In 2014, the family returned to Logan, Utah, where I resumed my education while raising my growing family. Around this time, Invictus Farms began to take shape. What started with a small flock of chicks soon expanded to include a mustang and quarter horse filly, as well as goats—marking the beginning of a lifelong dream.

While searching for a horse suitable for my young children and their small property, I discovered the American Shetland Pony. Drawn to their versatility and family-friendly nature, the foundation of the farm’s pony program was established with the addition of a stallion and three mares. Today, Invictus Farms is dedicated to breeding ponies with exceptional temperament, sound conformation, and natural beauty—animals that thrive both as cherished family companions and as competitive show partners.

The farm’s connection to animals extends beyond horses. Throughout my upbringing, my family raised a variety of dog breeds, but one in particular left a lasting impact. An Australian Shepherd named Pepper became a source of comfort and healing for my middle brother during a difficult time in his life. Pepper’s intuitive, loyal, and deeply compassionate nature not only strengthened our bond with the breed, but also demonstrated the powerful role animals can play in emotional healing and support. 

Since then, our hearts have remained with Australian Shepherds—dogs known for their intelligence, loyalty, and affectionate nature, and which embody the spirit of companionship valued at Invictus Farms.

At Invictus Farms, every animal is raised with intention, care, and respect. Our mission is to cultivate not only quality animals, but meaningful connections—whether in the show ring, on the farm, or within the family.
